Grandmother Helene Lindmark, born in Liikavaaraa, Sweden, is deeply rooted in the Sámi people’s ancient traditions. Raised in a blend of Swedish, Sámi, Finnish, and spiritual heritage, she grew up in the embrace of nature and elder wisdom. Over time, Helene realized she carried a unique gift, passed down through generations, and after seeking it outside herself, she rediscovered it within. She chose to honor her legacy by becoming a custodian of ancient wisdom, dedicated to preserving and sharing it with future generations. Through the lens of a trauma specialist, Helene bridges ancestral knowledge and modern society through mentoring, teaching, ceremonies, and rituals, enriching lives with the transformative power of tradition. She is a passionate advocate for well-being, serving leadership roles with the KIVA Family and Roots of Earth, Wisdom Keepers Delegation, Earthrise Collective, PWCDF, Lionbergs, One Degree Network, One Thousand Suns Network, Sami Nission Forum, and the FIMI.
