Africa Amini Alama

In 2008, Christine Wallner set up a new medical practice in Tanzania, more specifically in the small town of Momella. The practice built on her interest in traditional healing and ethnic medicines. She founded Africa Amini Alama and built an infirmary, schools and workshops for carpenters, bricklayers and mechanics. Her daughter Cornelia Wallner-Frisee joined her two years later and together they run this charitable organization.

More than 200 employees treat around 100 patients every day and look after around 1000 children. Their work includes educational, medical, sustainable agriculture, and social projects.

They treat sick people in need of medical and social assistance, and children from Maasai and Meru families receive high-quality primary and secondary education. Africa Amini Alama supports women’s groups, families in need, and helps the community in emergency situations. All projects are managed by local people to achieve long-term self-reliance.

With your support, they will be able to continue their work so that the Indigenous African people can sustain their traditions, harvest the fruits, and plant the seeds of the future back into the soil themselves.
