The work of the Center for Shamanic Education and Exchange perpetuates the shamanic wisdom, culture, practice, and traditional ways of life of Indigenous people worldwide. Their vision is to bring shamans and healers of different cultures together to both stimulate their own practices as well as encourage new expressions of shamanism to emerge. With this vision, the Center for Shamanic Education and Exchange creates events, projects, products and documentary media that promote the continuation of Indigenous song, dance, healing practices, ceremonies, arts, crafts, and teachings. It is their hope that by honoring and supporting Indigenous people, the world will be re-acquainted with its shamanic inheritance and inspire current and future generations to value their unique cultures. Current projects include programs to revitalize, preserve and protect the ancestral wisdom and spiritual heritage of the Kogi in Colombia, the Shipibo Conibo in Peru, the Wixarika Huichol in Mexico, Mayan elders in Guatemala, and communities in Ecuador, amongst others.
