I am a Human Being seeking to make myself more Human and to realize what that means. As I have gone through, and continue to do so, embracing change and growth, realizing how being put into so many boxes led to the cry of feeling separate and alone. Ultimately a Cry for Freedom. Since I was a child I sought to know the Traditions, and Medicine Ways of my Indigenous Ancestors knowing in my gut there is Wisdom there that would help me with the questions about Spirit and Life that I was asking before I could remember. I was always inquisitive about Spirit and Medicine, fascinated actually with those things and the Mystical Realms. Raised hispanic in Denver CO, I left the church at 13 then had my first experiences of healing which transformed my life and set me on my path. Unbeknown to me till many years later, a path to remember my Whole Self. But first I had go into the dark to find my way home.
I finally became initiated in the Medicine Ways a year or so after a complete Life Changing experience in four Sweat Lodges at 29 during a 4 day gathering with Native Elders. I finally found a place of Belonging, feeling at Home in a way I had never felt before. My late teens and early 20's I struggled with feelings of wanting to end my Life. The Ceremonies filled me with feelings of Passion and Gratitude unlike anything previously experienced. I devoted my Life to these ways then eventually realized these Traditions could help others also in real and authentic ways. Spirit revealed gifts I didn't know I had and what I was here to do.
I also began studying Shiatsu, a Japanese form of Medicine related to acupuncture using the hands and fingers, which also had a profound effect on my body, mind, and Spirit. This happened at the same time I was becoming devoted to Native Ceremonial ways, the Red Road. After 3 years of study I developed my practice which I eventually began to call "Transformational Body Therapy" which incorporates council, journey, breath, Shiatsu, song, and prayer. I have been practicing for almost 30 years. I work with those seeking help, healing, and change mentally, emotionally, physically, or spiritually. I am uneducated in the western way as Spirit guided me to the Old Ways. The Elders, Traditions, Ceremonies, the Wisdom of the Old Ones, Spirit, All of Nature and Life have been my Greatest teachers.
I have been pouring water in Sweat Lodge, running Vision Quests, and performing Ceremonies for about 25 years. I have been Blessed to share these Medicine ways across Turtle Island and Internationally with many peoples from many Traditions. I have worked with people young and old, of many races, genders, and beliefs. I also run retreats, and share the Wisdom that has been passed down for all of us from the Ancient ones. I have learned and continue to learn at the core we are all Human, and have more in common than different, that we Are All Related, All One.
I am Grateful to be Third Gendered of Diné, Ute, and Spanish decent. I am adopted Lakota also. I sometimes and these titles limiting of my Whole Self and can set up expectations which potentially create barriers to living and connecting to the authentic Heart of All, and The Circle of Life. I Love to Sing and Dance, and to Love. I seek to help when needed and asked, and I attempt to walk lightly on our Mother Earth. I fall sometimes, but pick myself up, dust myself off, and keep going with a good laugh. I am on a journey of discovery, expansion, and I seek to see joy, gratitude, and love in everything! I say "I" but know at the core it is a "We" thing.
It is all a story that is in constant change, it much simpler to embrace that. We get to write our own story when we choose to do so. I have been so very Blessed to be able to practice and bring the Medicine and Gifts passed on to me, which do not belong to me, but are for The People.
If you have any questions I would be happy to receive them. I look forward to hearing from you and if you feel called, to sharing Medicine for what ever you may want help with.
