Monica McWhirter

Indigenous Liaison for Shamans Directory who is also a Traditional Healer
Canada

My given name is Monica. My Spirit name is the Woman Who Breathes with the Singing Water at the North Door. I am Algonquin, Metis and Polish. I am Bear and Buffalo Clan. My Spirit Colours are Blue, White and Yellow.

Every breath we take, we are in ceremony. There is no separation. It is all a gift.

I have a background working in social services for more than a decade supporting a diverse global population, holding one on one sessions and facilitating Talking, Healing Circles. I walk the Red Road. There are many teachings and many ways. I am grateful for what I have been taught and have permission from my Elders to share.

All services are by donation which are accepted for this work to continue. 25% of all donations will be given to support Elder services in a community.

Services  are open to everyone, from every background.

Healing Services:

Healing Sessions - These sessions are approximately 1 hour long. Please contact for information.

Restorative Justice Circles - Restorative Justice circles are offered to families. They are held when something has gone off course in the family unit. They are a way for everyone to be heard. They are used to gain understanding and insight into a situation where someone may have been hurt. They are a way to be accountable, develop greater listening skills and compassion. A commitment is made for how to go forward in a way that benefits everyone involved. A letting go ceremony is part of the circle.

Healing Circles - are offered to both individuals and families. Circles can be booked together or separately. The purpose of these circles are to communicate in a way in which everyone can be heard. A traditional healing circle is to assist a group release whatever may be holding you back so you can move forward with clarity. They are an opportunity to move forward in a good way.

Letting Go Ceremonies are offered to both individuals and families. Letting Go ceremonies are a part of both circles but can be held one their own. They are a way of releasing, moving forward or honoring when we feel we have lost something in our life.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
