Welcoming the Equinox
Celebrating Ahamkara and Sky Mother's New Book
Saturday 19 September 2026
6am PDT / 9am EDT / 3pm CET
As the seasons turn and we arrive at the Fall Equinox, we invite you to gather with us around the Cosmic Fire for a very special evening with Siberian Shaman Ahamkara and Sky Mother, co-authors of The Shamanic River of Life: A Journey into Siberian Shamanism.
Ahamkara has been a beloved Shamans Directory Ambassador and an important voice within our global community for many years. We are delighted to welcome him back alongside Sky Mother Semin to share teachings from their new book and offer a deeper look into the living traditions of Siberian shamanism.
The Shamanic River of Life invites us into a world of Altai legends, powerful spirits, transformation, devotion, and the unfolding of the shamanic path. At its heart is a reminder that every path is unique, and that the signs guiding us toward our purpose may be found not only in extraordinary experiences, but in the subtle rhythms and connections of everyday life.
Together, we will explore what the turning of the seasons can teach us about change, balance, relationship, and our own journey through the river of life.
Come celebrate the Equinox, meet two remarkable teachers, and experience the storytelling and wisdom of the Siberian tradition.

A Journey of Remembering How to Receive
With Marleni Vilca Munay of Pachamama Hampina Wasi
Saturday 25 July 2026
8am PDT / 10am Peru / 11am EDT / 5pm CET
Approximately 90 minutes
What if abundance is not something we must chase, earn, or struggle to create? What if it is something we can remember?
We warmly invite you to join us along with Marleni Vilca Munay, Founder of Pachamama Hampina Wasi and Member of Shamans Directory, for a live online gathering exploring a different understanding of abundance — one rooted in the wisdom of Pachamama, the creative force of the feminine, reciprocity, gratitude, and community.
Over the past several years, Marleni has been on a profound personal journey of learning to receive. Like many who walk a spiritual path, she once struggled with the belief that sacred work and material abundance could not coexist. Her journey has led her to a new understanding: honoring the value of ancestral wisdom, allowing ourselves to receive, and creating the resources to serve, build, share, and give back are all part of the same sacred exchange.
In this intimate gathering, Marleni will invite us to explore the inherited beliefs and patterns that may shape our relationship with abundance. Where are we holding back? What are we longing to create? What might become possible if we opened ourselves more fully to receive.
Drawing upon the living wisdom of the Andes and the unfolding story of Pachamama Hampina Wasi, Marleni will share how abundance is found not in accumulation, but in relationship — in the ways we nourish one another, create together, express gratitude, and recognize that we were never meant to do this alone.
Participants will receive and invitation to join Marleni this September 15 to 22 at Pachamama Hampina Wasi in Peru, to celebrate the 4th Ñaupa Tantanakuy Apukuna; a gathering with more than 13 Elders and Guardians from different parts of the world who will share ceremonies, teachings, and transmissions for the New Humanity. An opportunity for more abundance!
Come with an area of your life that is asking to grow.
Can you hear abundance calling?
This event is open to all.

The Grand Spiral of Huaca Montegrande
With Dr. Quirino Olivera
Saturday 25 October 2025
8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET
Approximately 2 hours
With deep reverence for the ancient wisdom held in the land, Shamans Directory warmly invites you to join an exciting live transmission from Huaca Montegrande, in the upper region of the Peruvian Amazon. Coordinated by Shamans Directory Team Member Cynthia Honores, Dr. Quirino Olivera, Peruvian lead archeologist and director of Huaca Montegrande, will be speaking to us directly from the site, with translation and additional transmission made by biologist and sacred ecologist, Karen Gordon.
Huaca Montegrande, the oldest ceremonial temple in pre-Columbian America, is a living testament to the birth of spirituality in the Amazon. Shaped as a woman in sacred embrace, giving birth to a spiral, the temple mirrors the universal rhythm of transformation, continuity, and creation. Its stones carry stories of balance, between river and mountain, feminine and masculine, earth and sky.
Here, archaeologists have uncovered possibly the world’s oldest ceremonial cacao, a fruit that “not only nourished, but also united worlds.” We invite you to join us in honoring this sacred site, where science and spirit meet, a place that remembers the origins of prayer, offering, and communion with life itself. Come listen, learn, and receive from the Great Spiral of Montegrande, a song of cacao, memory, and awakening.

Indigenous Wisdom from Africa Join Shamans Directory Ambassador and Member John Lockley, an Elder Sangoma (African Shaman) from the Xhosa tribe, as he shares ancient teachings from Southern Africa on the art of tracking. For the Xhosa and the Khoi-San Bushmen trackers of the Kalahari, tracking is far more than following footprints in the sand — it is a way of life. John will guide us into the realms of inner and outer tracking, exploring how to navigate both the spiritual and physical worlds with presence, intuition, and respect. Through leopard medicine teachings, John introduces us to our seven senses, particularly the mysterious seventh sense—intuition, magic, and mystery—that opens the doorway to dreams, ancestors, and spirit. He will share stories from his years of training alongside legendary Bushmen trackers, and how intuitive tracking can help us manifest our visions and reimagine our shared humanity around the sacred fire. At the heart of this teaching is Ubuntu, the Southern African philosophy of interconnectedness, celebrated by Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu. As an elder Sangoma, John brings this wisdom forward with authenticity and heart. Together, we will explore inner tracking, the art of connecting with soul, dreams, and ancestors through mindful practices, stillness, and ceremony. We’ll also dive into outer tracking, learning to recognize life’s signs, from synchronicities to animal communication, that guide our path. |
Staying Centered in a Crazy World
With Joan Parisi Wilcox
Saturday 26 July 2025
8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET
Approximately 2 hours
How do we stay calm and grounded, and yet remain engaged in facilitating change and transformation, when we feel we are surrounded by chaos, calamity, and craziness? In this two-hour discussion, we will explore “practical spirituality,” what it means, and what practicing it might look like according to various wisdom traditions, including Andean mysticism.
In this session Shamans Directory Ambassador and Member Joan Parisi Wilcox, author and master teacher of the Andean traditions will address a number of interesting questions. Should we welcome chaos, calamity, and craziness as just what we need to spur us into action? What kind of action, if any, is effective in the face of craziness and chaos? How do we re-engage in the world if we are so overwhelmed or triggered by its troubles and turmoil that all we want to do is tune out?
While each one of us must find our own unique way forward, and there may be no clear-cut answers to such questions, there are all kinds of perspectives that can enlighten us. We hope that you will join us. You may just discover some answers that your soul has been waiting for.

8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET
Approximately 2 hours
"World peace begins at home." Across Turtle Island (AKA North America), many of us live unaware of our Indigenous neighbors whose ancestors have been here for thousands of years. You are warmly invited to a very special online gathering, a space of healing, listening, and connection. When we create a new kind of community, one rooted in truth, reciprocity, and reverence for one another.
This is not just an event. It is a chance to remember that reconciliation is not just about people, but about the Earth and all of her children. Let's dream together. Let's listen deeply. Let’s feel what’s possible when we begin to see one another again. The door is open. Will you enter?

Lineage-Based Teachings with Modern Health Practices
With John Crow MacKinnon of Shamanic Voyages
Saturday 24 May 2025
8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET
Approximately 2 hours
Join us for our upcoming Shamans Directory Live Event featuring John (Crow) MacKinnon, who will share his insights from his personal journey navigating both traditional and modern teaching practices. Crow will speak about his work with entheogens, or traditional plant medicine teachers, and the growing recognition of their value in modern mental health care. He will explore how traditional healers can contribute to and also benefit from this expanding field, particularly in areas of diagnosis and ethical standards.
Crow is the founder of Shamanic Voyages, a non-profit organization offering educational travel experiences to places where shamanism remains a living tradition. He is an Amazonian-trained Curandero, a Harner Shamanic Counselor and a graduate of advanced trainings offered by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. He is an Ambassador for Shamans Directory, and he is also active in global initiatives including Sacred Earth Activism and Pachamama Alliance.
The lineage where he received most consistent training is rooted in the Amazonian tradition through the line of don Viejo Rivas, don Agustin Rivas Vasques, and don Ramone Sanchez Rojas—a lineage of Shipibo origin from the Ucayali region of Peru.
With decades of collaboration with healers from many different backgrounds and traditions, Crow offers a unique perspective on how science and lineage-based wisdom can come together. As modern medicine begins to recognize the value of what traditional, earth-based medicine has to offer, this will be a timely conversation about bridging worlds and deepening mutual respect.
