“We are all part of the ancient Sacred Circle of Life. The essential truth of this reality cannot be denied no matter how we look at it; it is simply an irrevocable truth. To embrace and reclaim our Indigenous relationship to all Life is to remember and lovingly celebrate our sacred relationship with our Mother Earth, all relatives of our One Human Family and our kinship with all Life.”  ~ Hereditary Chief Phil Lane Jr.

Indigenous Teachings hold the wisdom and the medicine to restore our right relationship with the earth, with one another and with all living things. We believe that these Teachings should be available to all people who are seeking them.

To honor and celebrate Mother Earth and the Indigenous Teachings of Turtle Island, we are inviting anyone who would like to attend this FREE day of Traditional Teachings and ceremony to join us. For the gift of receiving these teachings, we ask that all who participate offer one act of love and kindness to Mother Earth.

Please join us and feel free to share this invitation. See event details below. For those of you who are working or have other commitments, all sessions will be recorded and available on our YouTube channel after the event.

With Nate Long "Owl"
Saturday July 22, 2023
8am PDT / 11am PDT / 5pm CET
Approximately 2 hours

Shamans Directory Member Nate Long is an Intentional Artist and community builder, who gains insight through meditative journey-work, and whose creations are truly a “made prayer” to address something bigger or deeper in the individual or in the greater world. There are many reasons to use journey-work as a tool. Journeying allows us (or Spirit) to change our perspective. It gives us a different angle from which to view an intention or situation, to better empathize and more easily find wisdom and solutions where previously we had thought there were none.

Life offers us a spectrum of experiences from physical and emotional traumas, to those that heal and sustain us with joy and love. For better and for worse, these things shape us into who we are. Deep journey work provides a unique way of engaging with our inner self, allowing us to explore the path to healing from different points of view. During this session, we will have an open discussion about recognizing and emphasizing the importance of perspective change as a part of our practice. To explore and deepen this idea a special flute and drum journey will be offered where you will be guided to meet your child self.

Stepping back to talk with your very young self provides you with the opportunity to explore who you were before any of your limiting beliefs were solidified. It’s a chance to listen to that child's story and provide advice, strength and love for them - perhaps even allow them to more easily navigate the things that are yet to come. This journey is not meant to fix or heal things in your past, but as an opportunity to simply sit, listen, and converse with this very unique and impressionable you.

With Chuck Wilson and Wakan Drums
Saturday July 08, 2023
8am PDT / 11am EDT / 5pm CET
Approximately 2 hours

In the Spring of 2019 Shamans Directory Member Chuck Wilson was given a vision of a specific sacred drum that would honor the Earth, the Tall People, all Tribes, and all of our Earth Relations and Cultures worldwide. In the last part of the vision, the Spirits asked him to create these drums. Presenting Wakan Drums at his first Powwow in August 2019, brought him tears of joy as many Elders knew what they were, thanked him for “bringing them to the Earth,” and gave the drums their blessings.

Wakan Drums are Sacred Drums. Unlike sacred ceremonial drums which are only brought forth for ceremony, or personal sacred drums that are kept much like a sacred pipe, Wakan Drums are to be shared by the Keeper with others so that many people can have the opportunity to “chat with Spirit” if that is meant to be. They are to be played, held, honored and protected as they are here to help many.  Wakan Drums give a one-on-one spiritual connection with the person holding the drum. Having an intermediary hold the drum and interpret the visions or messages is not how Wakan Drums work. You hold the gateway over your heart and see what happens!

Today, Chuck’s work includes creating Wakan Drums for people who seek them, helping people journey and interact with Spirit as they hold a drum, conducting drum healing workshops to teach what he has learned, and helping people take their first steps onto the Red Road or expand their path as practitioners. His mission is to offer as many drums as he can to the world. His passion is to provide opportunities for people to hold these drums, connect to their Spirit Guides and Ancestors, and begin to understand that Sacred Drums are their own entities, and to know that Spirits walk with all of us, which is quite a surprise for many.

Hear Chuck's amazing call from Spirit, and learn about the spiritual aspect of sacred shamanic drums and drumming. If you have a drum, bring it with you. This session will surely deepen your relationship!

What Different Religions, Cultures, Faiths, and Ancient Texts Can Teach Us About Water
A Three Day Online Masterclass
With Veda Austin
June 3-5, 2023

Shamans Directory Ambassador Veda Austin is a water researcher, public speaker, mother, artist and author. Of Maori descent, her tribal affiliation is Tainui. Veda has dedicated over a decade to observing and photographing the life of water. She believes that water is fluid intelligence, observing itself through every living organism on the planet and in the universe. She sees water as Source rather than a resource, and considers all bodies of water to be sacred.

Her primary area of focus is photographing water in its ‘state of creation’, the space between liquid and ice. It is through her remarkable crystallographic photos that water reveals its awareness of not only Creation, but thought and intention through imagery. She loves to reconnect children to the living water systems inside and outside of their bodies, believing that the 'tamariki' (children) are the water bearers of the future. She also spends a lot of time doing interviews and podcasts where she shares her findings and inspiring perspectives. When not traveling the world, Veda makes her home in New Zealand.

Veda offers only one Masterclass a year, each with a unique and specific theme. This month she is offering her first ever 3-day event. Join her and an incredible line up of speakers from all around the world as they share their wisdom and knowledge. If you have ever wanted to dive into the deeper spiritual meaning of water, this is the masterclass for you! From science, culture, religion, and philosophy, they are linking Water, God and Spirit together in ways that will not only expand your heart, but also your relationship with the life force energy that we call water.

All recordings from the 3 days will be made available to registrants, regardless of whether you are able to attend the live online event. No prerequisites are required.

Lecture followed by Special Shopping Benefit
Center for Traditional Textiles, Cusco
With Nilda Callanyoupa
Saturday June 10, 2023
8am PST/ 11am EST / 10am PERU / 5pm CET
Andean textiles lecture  1 hour
Shopping benefit approximately 3 hours

The history of Andean textiles stretches back thousands of years, to the first people who settled along the coast of what is now modern-day Peru. Long before a system of writing was developed, textiles were valued as the primary form of aesthetic expression and communication. Ancient weavers gave life to the stories and traditions of their people through original styles, motifs, and techniques that developed throughout the desert coasts and mountain highlands of the Andean region.

Nilda Callañaupa Alvarez, Founder and Directory of the Center for Traditional Textiles in Cusco Peru was born in the small community of Chinchero. Like many other children she was responsible for taking care of her family’s flock of sheep and spent her time learning to spin and weave with her friends. As she learned more complex designs, she could see there was a powerful history behind the art of her people. Seeing that the art was slowly being lost, she embarked on a journey that would change the fate of Cusco textiles. The first person from her community to attend college, she went on to become one of the founders and now the Director of CTTC.  An award-winning author, international speaker, and expert in Cusqueñan textiles.

Join us as Nilda guides us on a journey into this rich textile tradition that continues today through contemporary Andean weavers who proudly continue in the path of their ancestors brining forward their magnificent symbols and patterns in communion with spirits of the nature beings of the land.

"We are stars wrapped in skin. The light you are seeking has always been within."  ~ Rumi

Guardian Angels, Guiding Stars, Helping Spirits, Nature Beings, and all the names we use to call on the unnamable - the Cosmos, God, Great Spirit, Higher Power, OM, the Tao, the Universe, Wakan Tanka, the Collective Unconscious, these are just some of the names that we give to the voices that speak to us in times of stillness, confusion, and change.

Most of us are familiar with these voices and can recount, in detail, the times when we had the courage to listen and take a leap of faith or suffered the consequences of not listening when we knew better. The fact is, despite the profound and lasting impact these moments have on our lives, most of us don’t listen to these “voices of Spirit” until we are in a pinch and desperate enough to listen to a voice other than that of our own.

In Western societies we are taught to be self-sufficient and to rely on ourselves alone. This is tragically limiting from a shamanic earth-based view of our planet and the cosmos where everything is alive with wisdom to share. In these communities, children learn to listen to the wind and speak to the Spirits of the mountains and the streams from the time they are born. These voices guide them throughout their lives and are sacred and critical allies, offering a vast body of wisdom that extends far beyond our human limitations.

What could and would be possible for you if you allowed yourself to have regular and ongoing access to the wisdom and support of these living energies? In this session we will learn a daily practice for learning to listen and be guided by the voices of Spirit. We will see how this daily connection deepens with time and how, if allowed to expand, will guide you to the most authentic expression of yourself and the profound peace, confidence, and certainty of knowing that you are living out the destiny that you came here to fulfill.

The Seven Grandfather Teachings are among the most widely shared Anishinaabe principles because they are relatable and encompass the kind of morals that all of humanity can aspire to live by. They offer ways to enrich one’s life while existing in peace and harmony with all of creation.

In the Algonquin community we believe that with every breath we take we are in ceremony. The first breath we take is our very first ceremony, and so as we walk this road we remain connected to all that is around us. In this workshop you will be learning the first steps to walking the Red Road and incorporating some of the core teachings of the Anishinaabe and Metis culture. We will be learning the Seven Grandfather teachings and an introduction to Algonquin ceremony.

The teachings offered at this event are sacred and life altering. You will be gaining a deeper insight into First Nations culture and practices. There are many teachings and many ways; these are some of those practices. As Indigenous people we believe that we are remembering rather than learning.

Finding Freedom and Beauty in Your Exploration of the Unseen Worlds
Global Online Conference with Celine Roche
March 7-11, 2023

Today, we live in an environment separate from Nature, to the extent that we have forgotten that we are a part of Nature. By desacralizing Nature, we have lost connection with its spirit and its healing power. We try to make sense of the world by thinking of it in linear terms to make it safer. Yet in fact, the world is made of infinite non-linear possibilities. It is time to regain our foothold in Nature, to be present to the magnificence of our world and its web of interdependence and connectedness.

Historically, people worldwide have cultivated sacred relationships with their ancestors, asking them for healing, protection, and guidance. When you communicate with members of your lineage who have passed, you can resource radiant energies within your bloodline, clearing your energy field and theirs of intergenerational trauma that affect the living and the dead.

Shamanism is still very relevant today as it resets the place of human beings in the world. Its practice reconnects us with Nature and ancient wisdom in a profound and meaningful way. Together, we will explore the following powerful questions: How to become a human bridge to Nature. How to walk a medicine path. How to honor the shamanic way. How to find freedom and beauty in the exploration of the unseen worlds. And so much more!

Your Ultimate “Cave of Power:" Shamanic Journeying into the Black Light of the Womb
For anyone with shamanic journeying experience, the value of “crossing the veil” with the drum is that we enter into a spirit world full of expanded vision, possibilities and wisdom. There is no more profound shamanic journey than into ultimate “cave of power” or the inner space of the Womb, in which we encounter our own multi-dimensional and multi-lifetime wisdom in the same way we encounter that of a spirit guide.

Diana Beaulieu, shamanic practitioner and Womb Awakening teacher, will introduce you to the forgotten history of Womb Black Light journeying, and take you on a guided drum journey into the core of your energy body where you can meet your “inner sacred guide” and experience the embodied wisdom of your own soul as it guides you through the decisions and questions of your life.

This work is for men and women.

About Diana
Diana studied biology, human sciences, and psychoneuroimmunology at Oxford University and was awarded a post-graduate degree in environmental anthropology at UCL. She has worked as an anthropologist in Latin America, and a writer and researcher for international NGOs, charities, science journals and universities. Diana’s desire for a deeper understanding of the human psyche led her down a seven-year apprenticeship in core shamanic medicine. Through her own personal healing journey and developing a self-healing method for herself and her clients, Diana’s unique pathway of Womb Healing and Awakening was born. Her latest work, SoulRise is a soul-to-soul community and healing sanctuary for men and women dedicated to healing and creating conscious relationships.

Since pre-history many cultures have observed the winter and summer solstices as a celebratory time to mark the death and rebirth of the cyclical power of our sun—a time for introspection and balance. Just as many cultures have taught the importance of the dream-state as a source of spiritual and practical guidance to help find balance in our inner and outer worlds.

In this session on the dreamtime, just prior to the solstice we will:

An Interactive Online Event
Friday thru Sunday December 2-4, 2022

Led by Alberto Villoldo, don Jose Ruiz, Sandra Ingerman, and other leading teachers, this online weekend event is designed to invite you into a deep experience of your own true nature using time-honored shamanic practices.

Using rituals, tools, and wisdom to provide guidance and healing, shamans can see subtle energy patterns that cause difficulty and pain. Under their wise direction, people can learn to quickly shift their perspective, remove stubborn inner blockages, and step into lives of ease, flow, and real magic.

Until recently, shamanic magic was largely lost to the world due to the global surge of science and technology, but the spark of that fire never completely went out. These modern day shamanic teachers have reached back through time to reclaim these practices and integrate them with our contemporary lives.
