Meet a True Rune Magician
With Magical Author and Artist Imelda Almqvist
Saturday 23 May 2026
8am PDT / 11am EDT / 5pm CET

Approximately 90 minutes

Step into the world of rune magic, myth, and living symbols with Shamans Directory Ambassador Imelda Almqvist — author, artist, teacher, and Forest Witch devoted to Northern European spiritual traditions. From her school in Sweden, where the forest meets the Baltic Sea, Imelda teaches Seiðr, sacred art, and shamanic practices for both adults and children.

We are delighted to invite you to this special live online event, dedicated to her latest book, Portals, Patterns and Pathways: A Handbook for Rune Magicians, Star Gazers and Myth Makers — a long-awaited deep dive into the runes of the Elder Futhark.

Imelda will introduce the runes not merely as an ancient alphabet, but as living glyphs infused with spirit and intelligence — powerful allies for divination and insight, supporting us in navigating life with greater awareness and conscious choice.

During this immersive session, she will share the lineage and foundations of rune magic within Old Norse traditions, explore the connection between runes, myth, and cosmic patterns, reveal how runes map a mythic and imaginal realm through archetypes, alchemical, and symbolic language. She will also offer a few live rune readings, and of course, there will be an open space for questions and answers.

The runes are portals, messengers from the unseen realms, and gateways into a deeper relationship with self and spirit. Whether you are new to rune work or already walking this path, this gathering is sure to offer inspiration, insight, and a meaningful connection to this ancestral tool.

Join us for a journey into myth, magic, and the wisdom of the runes.

The Sacred Number Seven in Andean Cosmology
With Pampamesayoq Medicine Man Wilbert Salas Atasi
Saturday 25 April 2026
7am PDT / 9am PET / 10am EDT / 4pm CET
Approximately 90 minutes

“This tradition is from pre-Incan times and is a path of medicine rather than religion. It is inclusive and open to all, welcoming different traditions and perspectives. At its core lies the principle of self-love and self-belief; you need to love yourself and believe in yourself to be a great healer. By cultivating these qualities, one grows in wisdom, energy, and capacity as a healer, walking a path of service in connection with Spirit.” — Wilbert Salas Atasi

You are warmly invited to join Wilbert Salas Atasi, a master shaman, healer, and teacher from Cusco, Peru, for a powerful introduction into the wisdom of the sacred number seven in Andean cosmology.

The mystical number seven is recognized across cultures as a symbol of harmony, completion, and the bridge between heaven and earth. It represents divine perfection and spiritual awakening, reflected through the seven chakras, the colors of the rainbow, the musical notes, the seven worlds, and the cycle of the seven days.

Join us as we attune to the sacred number seven, Qanchis in Quechua. Through this wisdom, we open to subtle energies that uplift, nourish, and reconnect us with the living field of light and consciousness.

Wilbert Salas Atasi brings his presence, wisdom, and devotion wholeheartedly to the gifts he shares with his community and the world. Born in Colcha, Peru, he was raised within the ceremonial traditions of the Andes, learning directly from Paqos or Hampiq Runa (Andean healers). Through decades of dedication, he carries and shares these ancestral teachings and practices with authenticity, humility, enthusiasm, and heart. As a Shamans Directory Ambassador, he has offered countless ceremonies and blessings for personal and collective transformation. He teaches that each of us carries a unique medicine within, and that by cultivating and sharing it, we contribute to the healing and evolution of all.

Join us for this beautiful gathering and experience Wilbert’s love, wisdom, energy, and deep connection to the living traditions of the Andes. For those who are inspired, an upcoming course will be offered to delve more deeply into the energetic layers of balance and connection. We look forward to welcoming you!

Ancestral Constellations Meets Lineage-Based Wisdom
Moving from Separation to Wholeness
With Tanja Meyburgh
Saturday 11 April 2026
8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm CET
Approximately 2 hours

Western People have lost a connection to their ancestors. Many don't even know what they have lost and what would be possible if they were to reconnect and reclaim this.” — Tanja Meyburgh

We are living in an era marked by collective wounds — war, displacement, human rights abuses, and the enduring impacts of colonization and patriarchy. These are not only personal struggles; they live within our families, our bodies, our lands, and our shared human story. And yet, within these same places of pain, there is also a doorway — one that leads us back to connection, to responsibility, and to healing.

We are deeply honored to welcome Tanja Meyburgh for a powerful two-hour interactive gathering that invites us into this doorway. Tanja is an esteemed psychologist, Family Constellations facilitator, and internationally respected teacher of transgenerational healing. For more than two decades, she has worked at the intersection of personal and collective healing, helping individuals and communities uncover the unseen patterns carried through generations.

In addition to her academic and therapeutic training, Tanja has completed a 14-year initiation as an Igedla — a traditional doctor in the Venda lineage of South Africa, under the guidance of her teacher, Phokojwe. She carries this role with humility and deep reverence, continually learning, listening, and serving both the ancestors and the community.

As a white South African, Tanja speaks with honesty and courage about the complexities of lineage, colonization, and belonging. Her work invites us into the essential question: How do we reclaim ancestral connection in a way that is both authentic and in right relationship?

Tanjas work is both deeply grounded and profoundly expansive — bridging systemic constellations work with ancestral wisdom, embodiment, and the living intelligence of land and spirit. Drawing from her book Reclaiming Ancestors, she offers a pathway that is not about taking from other traditions, but about remembering what lives within our own lineages — through ritual, embodiment, and deep listening.

This will be a living, experiential space where you will be invited to engage directly — to feel, to reflect, and to explore how ancestral healing can support us in meeting the collective challenges of our time with greater compassion, clarity, and responsibility.

Together, we will explore how we can stand in solidarity — across cultures and communities — as we navigate grief, uncertainty, and change. How can we continue to gather, to dance, to sing the medicine songs, and to find one another again and again in times that call for courage and connection?

Healing does not happen in isolation. It happens in relationship with our ancestors, with one another, and with the living world.

We warmly invite you to join us for this rare and meaningful experience.

This event is offered freely and all are welcome.

Returning to Your Inner Compass
With Grandmother Helene Lindmark
Saturday 28 March 2026
8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm CET
Approximately 2 hours

In a world that moves quickly and pulls us in a myriad of directions, it is easy to quietly drift into survival mode. We manage, we perform, we endure, but many of us find it hard to say that we are truly living.

Coming Back to Life is a heartfelt invitation from Shamans Directory Ambassador and Member Sámi Elder and Global Grandmother Helene Lindmark to pause, breathe, and gently return to yourself. This gathering will be a shared and reflective space — one where presence, responsibility, and life itself are explored as sacred practices.

Helene is a wisdom keeper of Sámi heritage, rooted in the ancestral lands of Sweden above the Arctic Circle. A ceremonial leader grounded in the forest, she serves as a living bridge between ancestral traditions and modern approaches to healing and resilience. With a background in social work, psychiatry, and Indigenous leadership, she offers trauma-informed guidance that honors both the human nervous system and the living spirit of the land.

Through story, memory, and gentle inquiry, Helene invites participants to reconnect with their inner compass — to remember what it feels like to belong to themselves. To feel joy without guilt. To feel sorrow without shame. To understand that caring for oneself is not ego, but the foundation for stewardship and community.

Helene’s journey is a testament to the power of heritage, resilience, and the enduring bond between humanity and nature. In her presence, trust unfolds naturally. She listens deeply, guiding people home to the heart, to love, and to the quiet beauty that still lives within and around us.

Resilience as a Sacred Practice for Challenging Times
With Wolf Martinez
Saturday 14 March 2026
8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm CET
Approximately 2 hours

Across our planet, many are feeling the weight of uncertainty and change. And yet, within every authentic lineage based tradition, joy is critical medicine.

We are honored to welcome Shamans Directory Member Wolf Martinez, for this powerful online gathering. In this timely and heart-opening session, Wolf will share lessons learned from his own life experience, and the Lakota lineage, on the sacred role of joy, not as denial of hardship, but as a disciplined, life-affirming practice that strengthens the human spirit.

Joy, as Wolf teaches, is an act of resilience. It restores balance. It reconnects us to Creator, to community, and to our responsibility as good relatives. Especially in challenging times, choosing joy becomes a way of standing upright in our humanity, emerging wiser, kinder, and more courageous.
This is an invitation to remember that joy is not separate from the work of healing, it is medicine that the world needs.

Wolf Martinez has dedicated his life to learning, honoring, and living the wisdom of his ancestors — teachings that remind us we are related to all that is within the web of life. Guided by reverence for the Seven Generations before us and the Seven Generations yet to come, his path is rooted in humility, responsibility, and trust in the Creator of all that is. Having found his way to these teachings at a young age through profound personal struggle, Wolf speaks from lived experience about what it means to come home to oneself.

Exploring the Living Temple of Chavín de Huántar
With Medicine Man Alfredo Huayta Singona
Saturday 28 February 2026
8am PST / 11am EST / 5pm CET
Approximately 90 minutes

Meet powerful Medicine Man Alfredo Huayta Singona, a family member of Maestro Puma Fredy Quispe Singona of the Qanchis Illya Rainbow Lineage, for a sacred exploration of the teachings and insights of Apu Wachuma, also known as San Pedro. Apu Wachuma is revered as the Ancient Master of Light and Crystal-Clear Medicine. This highly evolved master plant ally connects us with the luminous essence of Spirit, holding high-vibrational frequencies that transcend heaviness within sacred time and sacred space, allowing us to receive absolute light, clarity, and joy.

As taught within this lineage, it is not always necessary to physically consume this sacred plant to receive its blessings. Through sacred communion, clear intention, and energetic programming, one may receive light energy, guidance, and support from this powerful plant spirit ally. As a medicine of the heart and liberation, Apu Wachuma opens our awareness to parallel dimensions, facilitates deep healing, and offers access to ancestral wisdom. It supports us in seeing with clarity and living in brightness.

Throughout our time together, Master Alfredo will share the essence and teachings of Apu Wachuma, and its vital role within the Chavín culture of Northern Peru. He will guide us into the energetic field of the Pre-Incan Temple of Chavín de Huántar, a powerful and mysterious ceremonial center where Apu Wachuma thrived, and where ancestors once gathered from all corners of the Andes to connect in sacred ceremony.

For those walking a shamanic or Andean-informed medicine path today, Chavín is often experienced not merely as an archaeological site, but as a living temple, one that continues to transmit wisdom about consciousness, cosmology, initiation, cosmic balance, and the relationship between humans and all forces of nature.

We hope you will join us for this extraordinary experience.

Restoring Our Sacred Relationship with the Soul of Pachamama — Valentines for Mother Earth
Offered by Members of Shamans Directory
Saturday 14 February 2026
8am PST / 11am EST / 5pm CET
Approximately 90 minutes

Our stories, songs, prayers, and creations carry the power to heal and guide us. They remind us that our souls are inseparable from the soul of Pachamama — our living Earth.

Join us for this live, online gathering where practitioners from Shamans Directory will offer short messages of love and gratitude to honor and remind us of our sacred relationship with Pachamama. This is a space to listen deeply, to remember, and to feed the living songlines that connect us with the land, our ancestors, and future generations.

Throughout the gathering, we will participate together in a Despacho ceremony, lovingly created and offered by Medicine Woman Nelida Vilca Huaman from Chinchero, Peru. Each intention will be held within a K'intu, a sacred Andean offering of three leaves, and released to the fire after the ceremony, as a prayer of reciprocity and renewal.

This event is offered as a gift of service. All practitioners, lineage keepers, and earth-honoring voices within the Directory were invited to contribute an offering that reflects their relationship with our Great Mother Earth.

*In Andean ceremony, a K'intu is a sacred offering of coca leaves, deeply rooted in Andean spirituality. The typical configuration involves three carefully selected leaves, symbolizing balance between the celestial, earthly, and subterranean realms (Hanaq Pacha, Kai Pacha, Ukhu Pacha). Before offering, the leaves are often held with reverence and blown upon in a practice known as Phukuy, imbuing them with prayers, gratitude, and intention.

Feel free to bring three leaves of your choice with you to offer as your K'intu during the event.

With Rakel Sanímuinaq, Inuit Angakkuq (Shaman)
Saturday 13 December 2025
8am PST / 11am EST / 5pm CET
Approximately 2 hours

It is our pleasure to invite you to a powerful Live Online Event with Shaman’s Directory Ambassador Rakel Sanímuinaq, Inuit Angakkuq (shaman), healer, and wisdom keeper. First voicing her destiny at the age of four, Rakel’s teachings arise directly from her ancestral line, her lived experience, and the Spirit helpers who have guided her since childhood. Many will recognize her from The Eternal Song film, where her clarity and depth illuminate the ancient shamanic ways of the Inuit.

For this gathering, Rakel will offer a powerful teaching, little known to those outside of her tradition: Making the Darkness Your Home.

In the Arctic, darkness is not merely a season, it is a teacher. Inuit shamans learn to enter the vast inner landscape of the subconscious, to sit within it, and to become at ease there. Rakel explains that this inner darkness is not something to fear, but a place to become deeply familiar with, a place to inhabit with courage and tenderness.

“When you make the darkness within you your home,” she teaches, “you become peaceful in your life, and that peace becomes a medicine you can bring to others.” This is central to the shamanic path and essential to true healing.

Rakel will share stories from her lineage, wisdom from the land, and insights shaped by generations of ancestral pain and resilience. This is a rare opportunity to learn from an Inuit shaman whose voice carries ancestral authority, clarity, and profound compassion. We hope you will join us.

The Grand Spiral of Huaca Montegrande
With Dr. Quirino Olivera
Saturday 25 October 2025
8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET
Approximately 2 hours

With deep reverence for the ancient wisdom held in the land, Shamans Directory warmly invites you to join an exciting live transmission from Huaca Montegrande, in the upper region of the Peruvian Amazon. Coordinated by Shamans Directory Team Member Cynthia Honores, Dr. Quirino Olivera, Peruvian lead archeologist and director of Huaca Montegrande, will be speaking to us directly from the site, with translation and additional transmission made by biologist and sacred ecologist, Karen Gordon.

Huaca Montegrande, the oldest ceremonial temple in pre-Columbian America, is a living testament to the birth of spirituality in the Amazon. Shaped as a woman in sacred embrace, giving birth to a spiral, the temple mirrors the universal rhythm of transformation, continuity, and creation. Its stones carry stories of balance, between river and mountain, feminine and masculine, earth and sky.

Here, archaeologists have uncovered possibly the world’s oldest ceremonial cacao, a fruit that “not only nourished, but also united worlds.” We invite you to join us in honoring this sacred site, where science and spirit meet, a place that remembers the origins of prayer, offering, and communion with life itself. Come listen, learn, and receive from the Great Spiral of Montegrande, a song of cacao, memory, and awakening.

Indigenous Wisdom from Africa
With Sangoma John Lockley
Saturday 27 September 2025
8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET
Approximately 2 hours

Join Shamans Directory Ambassador and Member John Lockley, an Elder Sangoma (African Shaman) from the Xhosa tribe, as he shares ancient teachings from Southern Africa on the art of tracking.

For the Xhosa and the Khoi-San Bushmen trackers of the Kalahari, tracking is far more than following footprints in the sand — it is a way of life. John will guide us into the realms of inner and outer tracking, exploring how to navigate both the spiritual and physical worlds with presence, intuition, and respect.

Through leopard medicine teachings, John introduces us to our seven senses, particularly the mysterious seventh sense—intuition, magic, and mystery—that opens the doorway to dreams, ancestors, and spirit. He will share stories from his years of training alongside legendary Bushmen trackers, and how intuitive tracking can help us manifest our visions and reimagine our shared humanity around the sacred fire.

At the heart of this teaching is Ubuntu, the Southern African philosophy of interconnectedness, celebrated by Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu. As an elder Sangoma, John brings this wisdom forward with authenticity and heart.

Together, we will explore inner tracking, the art of connecting with soul, dreams, and ancestors through mindful practices, stillness, and ceremony. We’ll also dive into outer tracking, learning to recognize life’s signs, from synchronicities to animal communication, that guide our path.

Staying Centered in a Crazy World
With Joan Parisi Wilcox
Saturday 26 July 2025
8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET
Approximately 2 hours

How do we stay calm and grounded, and yet remain engaged in facilitating change and transformation, when we feel we are surrounded by chaos, calamity, and craziness? In this two-hour discussion, we will explore “practical spirituality,” what it means, and what practicing it might look like according to various wisdom traditions, including Andean mysticism.

In this session Shamans Directory Ambassador and Member Joan Parisi Wilcox, author and master teacher of the Andean traditions will address a number of interesting questions. Should we welcome chaos, calamity, and craziness as just what we need to spur us into action? What kind of action, if any, is effective in the face of craziness and chaos? How do we re-engage in the world if we are so overwhelmed or triggered by its troubles and turmoil that all we want to do is tune out?

While each one of us must find our own unique way forward, and there may be no clear-cut answers to such questions, there are all kinds of perspectives that can enlighten us. We hope that you will join us. You may just discover some answers that your soul has been waiting for.

This event is FREE and all are welcome.
