KIVA FAMILY "ANCESTRAL VOICES"
In today’s increasingly individualistic societies, we have lost our sense of unity and collaboration. To address this, in February and March 2025, over 22 representatives from ancestral communities will embark on a historic pilgrimage across the five continents, aiming to deliver a profound message of peace and unity for humanity.
Through a sacred ceremony called the KIVA, they will share a message of peace and unity through their voices, traveling together to form a circle of protection for humanity. This journey aims to unite all races in a single prayer for Mother Earth.
This Saturday 26 October 2024 is an invitation and a CALL out to you! An invitation to meet the core members of the KIVA Family, to learn about the 5 Fires in 2025, and experience a ceremony that transcends borders and highlights the value of diversity, unity, and generosity. These ceremonies are a gift for humanity and for our lives, to know, in a direct way, the impact of prayer that each one of us has (as children of Mother Earth) to forward the awakening of our ancestral memory. It is time to restore the Earth’s balance, walking in harmony with her as one big family.
KIVA Ceremonies remove mental boundaries, establishing a beautiful union between all beings of spiritual knowledge, Indigenous wisdom keepers, from accross the world. MEET THE KIVA FAMILY
Heriberto Villaseñor "Tecolozintli - venerable owl“ took over the mission of carrying the KIVA Fire Ceremonies on from Raymundo Tigre Perez. In every sense of the word, KIVA Family is grateful to Heriberto for bringing the fire to the world and holding the ceremony with his strength.
Nubia Rodríguez works as a Doula in Mexico and is deeply rooted in working and healing in a feminine way. She sees it as her task to preserve and bring back original female knowledge.
Helene Lindmark Helene Lindmark, is a luminary rooted in the ancient traditions of the Sámi people of Sweden. As a global spokesperson and advisor for many organizations, she a key organizer of the KIVA cermonies in Europe and Africa.

Inti Raymi, the festival of the sun, is a traditional celebration in the Andes that honors the Sun God, Inti. It symbolizes gratitude to the sun for its vital role, marking the winter solstice in the Southern Hemisphere, and the start of a new agricultural cycle. The festival reinforces cultural identity and traditions, and reflects the Andean cosmovision of harmony between humans and nature, while serving as a time for spiritual renewal and purification.
This 7th annual gathering at the Shamanic Andes Summit will be led by renowned Kichwa shamans and wisdom keepers including:

This month's Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere is about the return of the light. In the Andes it is the very beginning of the growing season. The sun is returning, to renew their communities and warm the soil to receive the seeds of new growth and creativity.
The festival of Inti Raymi, a celebration of the Sun, is a gathering of thousands of indigenous people from all corners of the Inka realms; the jungle, the coast, the mountains, and the lake region. It is a calling together of the broader Andean Community, the energetic ayllu that makes up the indigenous community of Peru. It is a time to come together, to gather and renew. Offerings are made and energetic transmissions are exchanged and shared by all. It is a celebration of creation and of life itself.

Lei’ohu Ryder is a well-known and highly appreciated Hawaiian spiritual leader, singer/songwriter and healer on the island of Maui. Along with her partner Maydeen ‘Iao, they are Kumu Aloha (emissaries of Aloha) and advocates for the indigenous soul in all people. As they share their beautiful music and magical teachings of their ancestors with the world, their love and knowledge of the Aloha Spirit of Hawai’i help us to connect with ourselves and Spirit.

Join us in person to meet Shamans Directory Ambassadors Lei’ohu and Maydeen in Amsterdam at Malamalomi this month. They will be offering private sessions, a hula and chanting workshop, a water ceremony, a Hawaiian teachings day (for Malamalomi Ohana), and a concert with a talk story. All proceeds of the concert will go to their nonprofit organization Aloha in Action to support those affected by the fires in Maui.
Join Shamans Directory Member John Lockley, African shaman and teacher, for an animated discussion on his spectacular 'Dreams & Tracking in the Kalahari' retreats. These are the only retreats of this kind in Africa today, focusing on sharing indigenous African technology through teaching people how to connect to their ancestors, dreams and power animals.
John refers to his retreats as adventures in exploring inner and outer tracking. He teaches the inner tracking component focusing on ancestors, dreams and plant medicine, while his colleague Alwyn Myburgh teaches outer tracking involving interspecies dialogue, animal communication, and tracking. Every year they are joined by San Bushmen elders who take them on a medicinal foraging hike through the bushveld, the sub-tropical woodland ecoregion of Southern Africa.
A traditional African shamanic calling often involves an experience with a wild animal in the spirit world. John’s Kalahari retreats speak to this mystical tradition of animal and interspecies communication on a profound level. In the Andean mystical teachings, as in many shamanic earth-based communities around the world, breath, tone and song, are practices of transformation, reverence, and activated prayer.
Medicine songs such as icaros, which are well known to the plant medicine community, are songs sung by shamans or curanderos as a part of healing ceremonies. Traditionally, these songs are performed with a combination of whistling, singing, and playing an instrument such as the rattle, drum, or flute.
Deeply buried within each and every one of us is a knowledge of life, hidden away or estranged from our consciousness, an orphaned essence, that through vibration and song, can be welcomed back into our hearts with unconditional love. Given the right conditions, this innate knowledge can come forefront, illuminating a bright new path of healing, one of authentic expression, creativity, and joy!
This mini workshop will be an invitation to sing and dance with our own living energy. We will explore the meaning and purpose of icaros, as well as how to trust yourself to receive your own sound coding.

A Talking Circle in Anishinaabe Tradition

We live in a linear world, where most of us are asked to choose one path at a time and to follow it to a definitive end. We are asked to do this with our schooling, our careers, our relationships, our faiths and our societal beliefs. But what if we feel called by more than one path - or many - and what happens when we are faced with contradictory messages?
According to the Indigenous teachings of Peru we are being called to a point of meeting ourselves again known as the Taripaypacha, where humanity reaches the 4th level of potential for being human. Here, we are able to see and experience all things cosmically, globally, enabling us to serve from a place of being consciously aligned with the Universe. One of the criteria that characterizes a 4th level human is the ability to fully embrace and embody two or more traditions in our heart, without question, conflict, or resistance; perhaps Buddhism and Judaism, Christianity and Andean Cosmology, shamanic earth-based healing and Western medicine. Have you done this? Are you working on it? How has it changed your life, your commitments, and the way you view the world?
Talking Circles are a place to address topics of importance within a community, and to listen and learn from one another in the traditional way of the Indigenous Peoples of Turtle Island. We hope that you will join us to learn from and be inspired by others.
This talking circle will be facilitated by Monica McWhirter who is Algonquin, Metis and Polish, Bear and Buffalo Clan. Monica has facilitated Talking Circles and Healing Circles for over a decade. We are proud to have her serving as the Indigenous Liaison for Shamans Directory.

In the coming time of transition it will be important for people to find themselves; to locate their own centers in a new way. The rules that we are used to change during times of transition, and the processes and methods for navigating the world that we have been accustomed to may fail to yield familiar results.
The time of individual-centric operations is passing. Community, cooperation, and collaboration are touchstones for our connection to the natural world of the future. We will need new tools to locate our inner selves, and at once differentiate ourselves while embracing and finding peace in the collective.
Through marrying Dakota cosmology with channeled information Dallas and Roberta provide a meditative container for investigating a ‘sense of self’ outside the restrictions of our current mindset; initiating an opportunity to view ourselves and the world from a more expanded, centered, and grounded place.
