With Monica McWhirter and Wilbert Salas Atasi
Saturday February 11, 2023
8am PDT / 11am EDT / 5pm CET
Approximately 3 hours
We are all indigenous to Mother Earth. We are all her children.
What is your personal relationship to these words? When you read these two statements and allow them to resonate within you, do they ring true? Do they feel like an authentic expression of who you are? Do they evoke distant memories of a time when you might have felt they were true for you? Do you feel that these words belong to other people and they are not yours to claim?
There will be two rounds in this talking circle where you will have the opportunity to share how you relate to these two phrases. Where do you stand in terms of claiming yourself as indigenous to Mother Earth, and to being one of Her children?
Talking Circles are traditionally offered by a skilled facilitator and an Elder who is working within their community. As we are a global platform, we are privileged to have, as our facilitators, Wilbert Salas Atasi, a traditional healer from the rich valley of Apurimac in the Andes, whose people have answered the call to the Sacred Fire, and Monica McWhirter an Algonquin and Metis Woman, a cultural teacher who lives life according to the 7 Grandfather Teachings.
Please join us and share this invitation. All are welcome.
