Approximately 2 hours
“Western People have lost a connection to their ancestors. Many don't even know what they have lost and what would be possible if they were to reconnect and reclaim this.” — Tanja Meyburgh
We are living in an era marked by collective wounds — war, displacement, human rights abuses, and the enduring impacts of colonization and patriarchy. These are not only personal struggles; they live within our families, our bodies, our lands, and our shared human story. And yet, within these same places of pain, there is also a doorway — one that leads us back to connection, to responsibility, and to healing.
We are deeply honored to welcome Tanja Meyburgh for a powerful two-hour interactive gathering that invites us into this doorway. Tanja is an esteemed psychologist, Family Constellations facilitator, and internationally respected teacher of transgenerational healing. For more than two decades, she has worked at the intersection of personal and collective healing, helping individuals and communities uncover the unseen patterns carried through generations.
In addition to her academic and therapeutic training, Tanja has completed a 14-year initiation as an Igedla — a traditional doctor in the Venda lineage of South Africa, under the guidance of her teacher, Phokojwe. She carries this role with humility and deep reverence, continually learning, listening, and serving both the ancestors and the community.
As a white South African, Tanja speaks with honesty and courage about the complexities of lineage, colonization, and belonging. Her work invites us into the essential question: How do we reclaim ancestral connection in a way that is both authentic and in right relationship?
Tanja’s work is both deeply grounded and profoundly expansive — bridging systemic constellations work with ancestral wisdom, embodiment, and the living intelligence of land and spirit. Drawing from her book Reclaiming Ancestors, she offers a pathway that is not about taking from other traditions, but about remembering what lives within our own lineages — through ritual, embodiment, and deep listening.
This will be a living, experiential space where you will be invited to engage directly — to feel, to reflect, and to explore how ancestral healing can support us in meeting the collective challenges of our time with greater compassion, clarity, and responsibility.
Together, we will explore how we can stand in solidarity — across cultures and communities — as we navigate grief, uncertainty, and change. How can we continue to gather, to dance, to sing the medicine songs, and to find one another again and again in times that call for courage and connection?
Healing does not happen in isolation. It happens in relationship with our ancestors, with one another, and with the living world.
We warmly invite you to join us for this rare and meaningful experience.
This event is offered freely and all are welcome.
No preregistration is required.
