Nepali Shamanism, Canada Workshops

A Rare Opportunity to Learn from a Living Master
Nepali Dhami–Jhankri Shamanism with Bhola Banstola
08-24 May 2026, Toronto, Vancouver & Quebec

We are honored to share a rare and meaningful opportunity to sit with Shamans Directory Ambassador Bhola Banstola, a respected Elder and long time-lineage carrier of the Nepali Dhami–Jhankri shamanic tradition, as he offers a series of in-person transmissions across Canada this May.

Rooted in a living tradition that has been carried through generations, these gatherings offer more than learning—they offer direct experience. Through presence, relationship, and practice, participants are invited into a deeper understanding of a path that honors Nature, Ancestors, lineage, and the unseen world as essential to healing and human development.

Each of the three gatherings offers a unique doorway into this tradition.

In Toronto (May 8–10), the focus turns toward the role of Nature, Ancestors, and the Wisdom Goddesses in healing. Held over Mothers Day weekend, this gathering carries a special invitation to honor the feminine principle and the ancestral lines that continue to guide and sustain us.

In Vancouver (May 15–17), the emphasis deepens into the role of ancestry and lineage. Here, participants are invited to explore their relationship with those who came before, recognizing ancestors not only as memory, but as active participants in ones spiritual life and well-being.

In Quebec (May 23–24), the transmission offers an experiential foundation in Dhami–Jhankri shamanism. This gathering introduces core practices, including the creation of sacred space, working with elemental spirits, and entering shamanic states through rhythm, mantra, and song.

Across all three events, participants will engage in traditional practices such as drumming, sacred chanting, and shamanic journeying—methods that have been used for generations to access wisdom beyond ordinary perception. These teachings are offered without the use of substances, relying instead on sound, rhythm, and relationship to enter altered states of awareness.

Central to this path is the understanding that healing arises through connection—connection to the land, to the spirits, to ones ancestors, and to the deeper aspects of self. Through ceremony, participants may experience practices of purification, protection, and the restoration of life force, all held within the integrity of a living lineage.

These gatherings are open to all—those new to this path, those walking their own healing journey, and experienced practitioners alike. Each offers a supportive and respectful space to listen, learn, and engage.

Whether you feel called to attend one or to follow the full arc of these teachings across the country, this is a rare invitation to come into relationship with a tradition that continues to live, breathe, and serve.

Bhola warmly invites you to explore which of these gatherings resonates most with you.
