In the early hours of the morning, in mid February of 2021, the ancestors began a dialogue with us that lasted with great intensity for three months and tapered to a steady flow of clear, deliberate instructions that continues to this day. We were directed to the words of elders from across the planet who have prophesied for centuries that we will only evolve if we come together around one fire. We were shown that there is a web of earth-based medicine already encircling the earth, and that together, each one of us doing our own part, we were to illuminate it. The idea came to us that the fire of the prophecies could be a virtual one - and the time had come to build it!

The doors of the Shamans Directory site opened to the physical world in April of 2022. This month we will open our doors officially to the world of Spirit; to express our profound gratitude for being tapped on the shoulder and offered to do the work. We will invite the ancestors (your, ours, and everyone else's), our precious Mother Earth, the spirits of the great mountains, the oceans, the plant and animal kingdoms, the elements, the sun, the moon, the star nations, the galaxies that we know of, and all that we do not know of. We will invite them so that we can express our gratitude and to ask for their continued instruction, guidance, support, great love, and infinite wisdom.  

Our ambassadors have assured us that somewhere in the future "it is already done." Now we must continue the work to ensure that future.

Since the 1950's the Medicine People (Paqos) of the Andes have been sharing their earth-based wisdom and ceremony with the world. They know, and have known, the critical condition of the planet and that it will take all of us, together, to restore right relationships to our Mother Earth and all living things. The elders, many of whom had never left their mountain villages, have traveled to cities and boarded airplanes to fly to other continents to teach what they know. Their teachings are so heartfelt and beautifully offered that it is rare to find shamanic earth-based teachers who have not been deeply moved by the beauty and healing power of their teachings and traditions.

Wilbert Salas Atasi lives as most Paqos do, with one foot in the working world and the other in service to Spirit as a Teacher and Ceremonialist for his community and the greater world. We are blessed to have Wilbert as a friend, an ambassador and a member of the Shamans Directory Team - and honored to have him offering our Cosmic Opening Ceremony.
