Andean Shamanic Medicine in Ireland

Ten Days of Teaching, Ceremony Traditional Wisdom
With Master Don Alejandro Apaza Machaca
Hosted by Green Tara College
17–26 July 2026 | Ireland

A rare doorway into the living medicine traditions of the Andes, in Ireland. For ten days, respected Peruvian Paqo Don Alejandro Apaza Machaca will share teachings, ceremonies, initiations, and practical healing techniques carried through generations of his family and community.

Now 74, Don Alejandro descends from a lineage of Chumpi and K’uychi (Rainbow) Paqos. Raised in the remote Andean community of Quicco, within the Q’ero Nation, he grew up surrounded by sacred mountains, rivers, waterfalls, and generations of traditional practitioners. With 60 years of experience as a healer and guardian of sacred nature, he now travels to share the wisdom entrusted to him.

Participants may attend individual classes, themed sections, or the complete ten-day training. Teachings include Andean principles for living in harmony; coca or bay leaf divination; six traditional forms of despacho; Chumpi stone healing; the Seven Ñustas healing tradition; soul retrieval; cleansing practices; and ways of connecting with sacred sites and places of power.

At the heart of the training is Ayni — living in loving reciprocity and harmony with Nature, community, and the cosmos.

This is more than an opportunity to learn techniques. It is an invitation to sit with an elder of a living lineage and encounter a worldview in which healing arises through relationship with Pachamama, the Apus, the spirits of Nature, and the greater balance that holds all life.

Come for a day, a teaching, or the full journey.
