How do we stay calm and grounded, and yet remain engaged in facilitating change and transformation, when we feel we are surrounded by chaos, calamity, and craziness? In this two-hour discussion, we will explore “practical spirituality,” what it means, and what practicing it might look like according to various wisdom traditions, including Andean mysticism.

In this session Shamans Directory Ambassador and Member Joan Parisi Wilcox, author and master teacher of the Andean traditions will address a number of interesting questions. Should we welcome chaos, calamity, and craziness as just what we need to spur us into action? What kind of action, if any, is effective in the face of craziness and chaos? How do we re-engage in the world if we are so overwhelmed or triggered by its troubles and turmoil that all we want to do is tune out?

While each one of us must find our own unique way forward, and there may be no clear-cut answers to such questions, there are all kinds of perspectives that can enlighten us. We hope that you will join us. You may just discover some answers that your soul has been waiting for.
