Alan Waugh trained as a plant Shaman in the Shipibo tradition of Peru. He is an internationally recognized Healer, Ayahuasca Ceremony Leader, Reiki Master, Hypnotherapist and Author. Alan received training in core Shamanism with Michael Harner starting in 1997. He completed the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition training of Oscar Miro-Quesada in 2010 and has studied with a variety of maestros/maestros in Peru, both in the Ayahuasca and also Huachuma mesa traditions. He has been working full-time as a healer/ceremonialist for 18 years.

Originally from London, UK, he now lives in Vilcabamba, Ecuador, where he and his wife Dianna have a healing retreat center, where they offer plant medicine ceremonies and Reiki trainings. He offers Reiki apprenticeships incorporating cross-cultural shamanic and non-shamanic techniques.

Prior to his move to Ecuador, he created and served as the primary healer at Sacred Valley Spiritual Retreat, a popular retreat center in Mt Shasta, California.

A hospice bedside caregiver with the Zen Hospice Project for 2 decades, Alan has sat with hundreds of clients through the dying process, helping them transition in peace and free from fear.

He is the author of the best-selling book Alchemical Ayahuasca: Take the Journey from Depression to the Sweet Spot.
